Is participating in the Islamic movement obligatory?
In Qur’anic terminology, participating in the Islamic movement is referred to as “Jihad fi Sabilillah”, which is considered a compulsory responsibility for Muslims. Allah sent the Prophets to establish His religion in the world, with the final and ultimate guide being the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Since no Prophet will come after him, the responsibility of establishing the Deen has been entrusted to his Ummah. As members of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him), it is our obligatory duty to strive sincerely in promoting and upholding the Deen. Failing to engage in this responsibility, despite having the means, entails accountability before Allah.
